ABOUT TPG HOME INSPECTIONS

At TPG Home Inspections we believe Experience, Education, and Attention to Detail are essential to providing you with the Quality Customer Experience you expect from your home inspector.

I bring more than 30 years of experience in the building industry to my home inspections. In addition to my experience, I’ve passed the National Home Inspector Examination®, which is the only independent, psychometrically-valid home inspector test in the country. I’m proud of this accomplishment and believe it’s another example of my extensive knowledge and skill in the home inspection field.

I am State Licensed in Maryland and Virginia and certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNachi).

  • How long does a home inspection take?
On average, a single-family home inspection usually takes 2-4 hours to complete, though this is heavily dependent on the home’s size and condition
  • What is a home inspection?
A home inspection objectively examines the physical structure and systems of a house from the roof to the foundation.
  • How much does a home inspection cost?
Our home inspections start at $450.00. The cost will vary based on the square footage of the home, the age of the home , and the location of the home.
  • What if the inspection report reveals problems?
It is a fact that no house is perfect. The inspection can reveal significant repairs needed, potential oversights by the builder, or only general maintenance required to keep the property in good condition. My duty is not to tell clients if they should/should not buy the house but to help you understand the full cost of ownership. My goal is to leave you with a deeper understanding of the prospective home, so you can make a sound decisions as the homebuying process continues.

I agree, and as a real estate investor, I was amazed at what a home energy score did for my project. Upon receiving my score report, I immediately set about making small repairs that are yielding big results!
